The Mega Gallade ex Special Card Set is a Japanese Pokémon Card Game MEGA product that mixes guaranteed promo cards with randomized booster packs. Instead of making every part of the box a surprise, the set gives you a fixed five-card promo lineup built around Mega Gallade ex, then adds eight Munikis Zero booster packs to open.
If you are deciding whether this Japanese special set belongs in your collection, this guide breaks down exactly what is fixed, what is randomized, and what to expect from the imported product.
What Comes in the Mega Gallade ex Special Card Set?
The current Rip It TCG Shop listing and Pokémon’s official Japanese product information confirm the following contents:
- 1 holo Mega Gallade ex promo card
- 2 holo Power Protein promo cards
- 1 Ralts promo card
- 1 Kirlia promo card
- 8 Pokémon Card Game MEGA: Munikis Zero booster packs
- 5 randomized cards per booster pack
- 1 Pokémon coin featuring Mega Gallade
The cards and packaging are Japanese-language, and the product is factory sealed.
Five Promos Are Fixed — the Booster Packs Are Randomized
The biggest thing to understand about this product is the split between the guaranteed contents and the randomized contents.
What is guaranteed?
The five-card promo lineup is fixed. That means the sealed set includes Mega Gallade ex, two copies of Power Protein, Ralts, and Kirlia as listed above.
What is randomized?
The eight Munikis Zero booster packs are randomized by the manufacturer. Each pack contains five cards, so the box gives you 40 randomized booster cards across the eight packs in addition to the five fixed promo cards.
That 40-card number is a simple pack-count calculation, not a unique-card count. Duplicates can occur, and no particular booster card, rarity, pull rate, monetary value, or complete set is guaranteed.

Why Mega Gallade Collectors May Like This Format
This box is more focused than a standard booster display. The featured Mega Gallade ex promo is guaranteed, and the set also includes Ralts and Kirlia from the same evolution line plus a Mega Gallade coin.
That makes the product useful for someone who wants a clearly themed Japanese collectible while still getting a pack-opening component from the M3 Munikis Zero expansion.
The two holo Power Protein promos add another fixed piece to the box, so you know exactly which promo package you are buying before you open any booster packs.
What Is Munikis Zero?
Munikis Zero is the Japanese Pokémon Card Game MEGA expansion identified as M3 in the current product listing. The set includes eight packs from that expansion.
Each included booster pack contains five randomized cards. The special set does not guarantee a particular card from the expansion or a specific rarity distribution.
When Did the Mega Gallade ex Special Card Set Release?
Pokémon’s official Japanese product page lists the release date as January 23, 2026.
Rip It TCG Shop currently lists the Japanese factory-sealed set at $48.99. Pricing and availability can change, so the live product page should always be treated as the final store reference.
Japanese Import Processing Time
This product is sourced directly from Japan. The current Rip It TCG Shop listing asks customers to allow 5–10 business days for order processing before shipment.
That processing window is separate from the carrier’s transit time after the order ships. If you need the product by a specific date, account for both processing and shipping time.
