Hyperia City is giving Disney Lorcana collectors two concrete reasons to look closer: a city-at-night visual identity for its rare treatments and Ink Drops, a temporary resource that can change how every ink pairing sequences a turn. Ravensburger’s October 1 creative spotlight also showed new Enchanted cards and confirmed prerelease play begins October 16, ahead of the October 23 release.
If the new reveals have you returning to Lorcana—or starting a character-focused collection—use this guide to see the cards, understand the mechanic, and choose a current sealed entry point.

Hyperia City card reveals: what collectors can see now
Ravensburger says most standard Hyperia City art takes place during the day, while its Enchanted and Iconic treatments lean into the city’s nightlife. That is a useful collecting lens: the rare treatments are designed as a visual counterpoint to the base set, not simply a border swap.
These are official Hyperia City previews. They are potential randomized pulls from that set, not guaranteed contents of the Scrooge McDuck Gift Box.
Why Ink Drops matter to players
Ink Drops are temporary ink: each is worth one ink, can be used the turn it is made, and leaves the game after use. Unlike ordinary inkwell acceleration, every ink-color combination can create them. That makes the mechanic relevant to more decks and opens both burst turns and flexible sequencing.
- Higitus Figitus can create three Ink Drops through its song ability.
- Tadashi Hamada – Making Waves creates two Ink Drops when banished.
- Madam Mim – Resourceful Trickster rewards paying with Ink Drops.
- Jousting Match changes from two damage to five when paid with an Ink Drop.
The collector takeaway is equally clear: Hyperia City’s cards tell a connected city story, while the player takeaway is that the same cards may create new curves and splashier turns.
